The Sunrise Golf Tournament will be held at Cherokee Ridge Golf Course at noon on Saturday, Aug 24, 2019. This is a fun event open to all ages and skills. A lunch will be provided after the tournament and prizes awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin for both men and women, and team low scores. This group is for dads with kids living at home who would like to connect, build community, and support one another through a monthly dads’ night out and other activities. United Methodist Men will sell veggies on the following Sundays: Aug. 25, Sep. 8 and 22, and Oct. 6 and 20. Every year, Sunrise gives Bibles to all 3rd grade and preschool students! This year, we invite you to join us Sunday, September 8, during the Children’s Moment at the 9:45 service. Children will receive their Bibles and be prayed over. Are you the parent of a college student? If so, join the Empty Nesters for fellowship and assembling care packages for our college students. They meet four times each school year: early September, early December, early February, and late April. Each parent (or set of parents) provides an item to include in the care package for each college student. Sunrise’s Piece Keepers Quilt Group is in need of a long arm quilter to assist with completing the Service Quilts for Sunrise veterans.
