pastoral care

-MATTHEW 18:20

Here at Sunrise, caring for others is of the upmost importance. We do our best to care for the needs of people with the same kind of love, compassion and care that our Lord Jesus would demonstrate. We do this in a variety of ways. Caring for the spiritual, emotional and physical health of Sunrise members is the primary responsibility of the Pastoral Care Department, every aspect of the Sunrise Ministry is driven by a loving and caring Christ-like Spirit.

HOW can we help

Pastoral Visits

Visitation and prayer is available for those in need. Our team can visit you before, during and after surgery or if you are home bound or in a care facility. We strive to provide support, care and connection.

Funeral & memorial receptions

Love, compassion, concern, comfort and support are essential following the death of a loved one. The team of volunteers set up for receptions, provide snacks and drinks, and offer support.

Life can be difficult and sometimes even unbearable. Rev. Olon, and Pastor Matt are available to provide counseling. They can also provide referrals for licensed therapists.

other Resources

Communion at home or in care facilities

Observance of communion is a vital ritual of the Christian faith. Due to a variety of reasons, there are those who are unable to come to church to receive this holy sacrament. We would like to bring it to you. If you or someone you know would like to receive communion, please call Spike Craig at (719)598-2506.

Prayer ministry

We believe in following the example of Jesus, who put into practice the command to pray without ceasing. Over 100 prayer warriors pray regularly for the spiritual needs of Sunrise. Click below to submit a prayer request, or to join the prayer team.
